Mooring restrictions DBF quay at the ECT Delta terminal

The ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code) sets rules established by the International Maritime Organization to ensure the security of vessels and port facilities. The exact location of the signs can be seen in the aerial photograph at the bottom of this article.

This measure has been implemented following situations in which barges moored at the DBF quay without prior appointment or authorization. From a security perspective, this is undesirable and not permitted.

With the new signage, the mooring regulations at the DBF quay are further clarified and the operational and security requirements at the terminal are reinforced.

Barge operators are kindly but firmly requested not to moor at the DBF quay without prior appointment and approval from ECT. If a barge is found moored without authorization, it will be requested to vacate the location.

Operators are also requested to bring this information to the attention of their barge masters to ensure they are aware of this instruction.
