Therefore, starting Tuesday 15th of July 2025, the following will be applicable: a pre-announced truck visit must include a date and exact time indicating when a container will be delivered or picked up. This truck visit must then be executed within a window of -12 hours to +12 hours of the pre-announced time. Additionally, truck visits can be pre-announced up to a maximum of 6 days in advance.
For example: if a visit for delivering a container is pre-announced for 13:00 on a Tuesday, the truck visit is valid from 01:00 Tuesday morning (-12 hours) until 01:00 Wednesday morning (+12 hours).
If the pre-announcement of a truck visit is no longer valid or not yet valid, due to a late arrival (in the example, the driver arrives after 01:00 Wednesday morning) or an early arrival (the driver arrives before 01:00 Tuesday morning), the arrival time of the truck visit must be updated via Portbase MCA Road. Pre-notifications of containers do not need to be adjusted nor withdrawn. The driver will always be admitted to the terminal at Security-In, but will have to wait in the parking area until the arrival time of the truck visit has been updated via Portbase. The screens at the Security-In pedestals and in building 5 will display a message informing the driver that the arrival time does not correspond with the pre-announced truck visit.
Truck visits that are already registered in the ECT system before July 15 will retain the current validity period.
ECT aims to gain better insight into expected peaks and will, at some point in time, share this information with the haulier community. The exact method of sharing this information is currently being looked into.
